Gathering Input

Gathering community input was a critical step in the preparation of this web based resource. It was important that suggestions, cultural information, opinions and ideas from aboriginal students, teachers, parents, administrators, and educational leaders were captured to help us to design the content and interactive sections of this site.


It was important that we spent the time to collect this input, since the literature could not reflect the actual experiences and thoughts of the people who would likely use this resource. We also found the experience to be very powerful, since the feedback we received regarding the viability and utility of this sort of resource was very supportive and positive. The people we spoke to confirmed that this sort of resource would be very valuable to all concerned.
